How to Start Changing Your Life

Life is to be lived they say. There is a right way and a wrong way to do it however.

There are those who will never experience the true joy of accomplishing something they love. They will aimlessly drift through life without any guiding principle or values.

As they wander from place to place doing jobs they hate it rarely dawns on them what it is they are after. For some it is merely the next pay check.

Wherever it is coming from they will head towards it. They do not know where they are going but only know of the next stop.

Think of a hamster running on a wheel.

When the next checkpoint is reached they continue on without any pause. The collection of all these is the total of a life.

This blind treasure gatherer of ours never stops to ask himself “why?” He is so determined to finish this race of his he forgets why he started in the first place.

Then he realizes everyone else in the race isn’t satisfied either. It seems in the same fashion, they have reached this point without knowing the destination either.

The race to nowhere is real. If you are entered in the “competition” there is still time to pull out.

If you have just realized this don’t worry. This is in fact the best news ever.

The reason being is you are alive while reading this. That means you still have the power to change your life.

In fact you can begin right now.

I know, if you have spent years drifting along it can hard to just “change your life“.

What does that mean exactly? How does one just “change their life”?

How to Start Changing Your Life

It’s actually quite simple.

One step at a time my friend.

Outside of miracles it is rare to hear of anyone becoming a new person over night. Like anything worthwhile it takes time and patience.

It may seem like a miracle to those who only know you as the person before. Once you begin to make changes you will see what it really is.

Start by taking care of yourself. You are the one thing you have the most control over on the face of this earth. It’s time to start acting like it.

Health can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. There are different ways to measure it but there is no complete, agreed upon formula.

How to start changing your life will begin by going to the gym.

Whenever you can, multiple times a week. Start lifting weights, getting strong and building muscle.

Sounds simple and it is yet it’s something so many fail to do.

Even if they know all the benefits they can’t seem to bring themselves to do it. They will spend all day liking photos of fitness models but vanish when asked about their own efforts.

If you continue pursuing strength and fitness consistently, you will put yourself in a bracket that excludes the vast majority of the population.

Taking care of your body does not stop with training. If you truly want to know how to start changing your life then you must also change your habits

By seeing your body change week after week you will grow in confidence. What the body can do the mind will follow.

Conquering your battles in the weight room can serve as a guiding light to win those battles outside of it. After pushing your body to the limit everything else will be easier to accomplish.

Once you have started the gym it is vital you begin to take care of your diet. Otherwise you are wasting your time and leaving a lot on the table.

To grow and become stronger your diet has to be on point. The kitchen must not be neglected.

Taking care of your body will raise your testosterone and invigorate you with life. The rest of your life can now begin to follow the same course.

Mastering your diet and exercise will go a long way to answering the question of how to start changing your life.

The Reality

You will make mistakes. You will slip up.

The bumps in the road are expected. Minor setbacks only make the major improvements that much sweeter.

Be critical of yourself to allow for self-evaluation. Don’t be too hard on yourself that you only focus on the negatives.

A common cause of giving up is when progress isn’t as fast as originally thought.

By setting standards too high you will become discouraged when they are not met.

What you wanted in a week may take a month.

What you wanted in a month may take a four months.

This is the reality that must be accepted. As you become more experienced your ability to goal set will be refined.

Progress is never a straight line. There are ups and there are downs.

What matters is the general trajectory remains positive.

It’s important  to not get dismayed by others on social media.

If there is no challenge there is nothing to overcome. If there is nothing to overcome then there would be little point in ever trying.

Challenges are meant to bring setbacks or else they would be too easy.

One thing is certain. You will be in a much better position had you never started.

By becoming self-aware you have taken the first step to freedom. Now you can see the fake boundaries set for yourself previously.

As you look back at them you can smile. Smile because you know you are never going back.

This is how to start changing your life. With strategic planning and a will to improve.

The winners will take this advice and run with it. Others will ignore and continue doing what they are doing.
